What is the printing process of the cup

At present, there are two general printing methods

1. Silk screen

It is suitable for simple patterns composed of color blocks. Advantages: plate making is convenient and cheap, and the printed pattern has a three-dimensional sense. Disadvantages: can't print too fine pattern. Gradient colors cannot be printed. Each color needs to be printed once, so when there are many colors in logo, there will be deviation easily. If the material of the plastic cup is hard (such as PS, acrylic, etc.), the double-sided logo can also be set accurately. If it is soft material (such as PP, etc.), there will be a lot of incorrect color registration for multicolor and double-sided logo,

2. Heat transfer printing

For more complex patterns, it is required to accurately color the pattern, especially the logo with gradient color. Advantages: as above, complex (more than 4 colors) patterns with gradient color must be heat transferred. In addition, no matter how many colors can be printed on a film, a heated rubber head can be used to "turn" to the cup during production. Disadvantages: the cost of plate making is relatively expensive, generally about 400 RMB for one color, plus 2 or 3 working colors. For example, if you have a logo with five colors, they have to make a plate making fee of (5 + 2) * 400 = 2800. Then I have to go on the machine to proofread for you. The start-up fee will be 300. That kind of printing machine is very large.

The above two printing methods will also be affected by the order quantity - the shape of the printing surface - the size of the printing logo itself, etc. it depends on the specific situation to determine which method to use.

There are other ways, but not often.

For example, water transfer printing can only be used to print some striped patterns, such as zebra stripes, because the position cannot be accurately controlled. The cost is high, so it will not be used generally.
