How to verify whether the glass is a high borosilicate heat-resistant glass

Glass can be divided into ordinary soda lime glass, toughened glass and high borosilicate heat-resistant glass, but these three kinds of glass are difficult to distinguish from each other in appearance. Usually, the layman is busy and the expert is in the doorway. As the general public friends who buy glasses, it is very difficult to accurately judge the glass material in the process of short and heat-resistant glass buying temporarily after being artificially melted. So how to verify whether the glass is high borosilicate heat-resistant glass?

High borosilicate heat-resistant glass can withstand the temperature difference of about 150 ℃ in an instant, and it is safe to hold hot and cold drinks. The main processes are manual blowing and semi-automatic assembly line, and special case pressing. Ordinary glass can bear the temperature difference of 75 ℃ in an instant. It is recommended to drink cold drinks, boiled water, etc. It mainly includes pressing process and iron pipe blowing process. Tempered glass is not recommended for liquids.

The raw materials of the artificially blown high borosilicate glass cup are mainly high borosilicate glass pipes, which are fired at high temperature and then placed in the mold for rotary or fixed blowing. The glass manufacturer told you. Blown products are generally thin. The thickness of the common high borosilicate glass tea set and coffee set is about 1.2-1.8 mm, and that of the pot is about 1.8-2.2 mm. Occasionally there is a straight cup or pot that is very thick. That's because there is no raw material pipe for blowing, so the thickness can reach 2-4mm.

Double glass, must be made of high borosilicate heat-resistant glass. The glass cup with handle is light and thin. It must be made of high borosilicate glass with thickness less than 2mm. The glass manufacturer told you. If it is very thick, then it depends on whether there is mold mark on the handle part. If there is, it is not heat-resistant glass (except for very few cases). If not, it is heat-resistant glass. The handle is glued on. If you look at the connection between the handle and the cup body carefully, you will surely see that it is different, it will not be symmetrical, and it will not be perfect. If the bottom of a straight cup is very thick, it must be pressed. Because it is artificially made, the bottom is thickened to 2cm, which is priceless. Moreover, the thickness is not the same. It's ugly, and it's not worth the loss.

In addition to the above methods, the following methods can be used for rapid identification:

1. You can put the cup in the refrigerator, refrigerate it for 24 hours, take out and pour 100 degrees of hot water. If it explodes, it is not high borosilicate glass.

2. High borosilicate glass has better transparency, more delicate body and smoother hand feel. High temperature resistance and sudden cold and heat resistance are the biggest characteristics of high borosilicate glass products.

3. Glass is a kind of cup whose raw material is glass. Usually, the raw material is high borosilicate glass, which is fired at a high temperature of more than 600 degrees. It is a new type of environmental protection tea cup, which is more and more favored by people.
